YCDC Meeetings

Most meetings are held in Alfred the third Thursday of each month from 6:00-8:30 p.m. (see Calendar). There is a half hour of social time and light refreshments before the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

As Tip O'Neill observed "All politics are local. The York County Maine Democratic Committee (YCDC) and local Democratic volunteers are primarily focused upon the local political process.

Our Purpose is:

     1. To promote the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party

     2. To encourage participation and membership in the York County  Democratic Committee

     3. To provide leadership to and coordination with Democratic municipal committees, the Maine Democratic State Committee, and the Democratic National Committee

     4. To elect Democrats

Although it is still winter, Democrats have Spring in their hearts! Mike Michaud for Governor, and Shenna Bellows for US Senate, Are connecting with voters, collecting Grassroots donations and gaining recognition!

Contact them and introduce them to yourfriends, neighbors, and especially thoseunenrolled (independent) voters.
On March 2 we will caucus. Please visit the link above) to see where and when your town will meet. You can help your local candidates by collecting signatures, donating $5 checks
for Clean Elections candidates and donating directly to those running traditional.

Host events where you can introduce them and in the spring drive them to meet their constituents. Once we know who is running, we will update this website with candidate information.

Please note that at all caucus locations,
we will be collecting new/like new coats, shirts, pants, sox for homeless veterans men and women. Let's help those who unselfishly helped all of us.

Here's to the beginning of a great election year! Please mark March 2 (Caucus Day) and June 10 (primary day) on your calendars.
